We all know that self care is important.
At least we know it in our mind, our conscious mind, our rational mind, our logical mind.
But somehow something is stopping us.
Just knowing that you need to eat healthy, sleep well and exercise doesn’t seem to be enough to make you actually do it. How can that be?
Then why don’t you take better care of yourself?
Typically this has something to do with our subconscious belief system. Imagine that you have the subconscious belief that everybody else’s needs are more important than yours. Then how are you going to be able to take a time out for self-care without feeling guilty? Not happening right? Does that resonate with you? Do you put everybody else’s needs in front of yours and in the meantime are you running on empty?
As you’re running on empty you’re becoming more and more aware that something needs to change and still you just can’t seem to get it done. You can’t seem to make these changes…
You ARE important and your rational mind may understand that this is true but your subconscious is still fighting it. Or maybe in your case there’s another belief that’s at play here.
