About Wilderlands
Wilderlands is an Australian organization which offers a unique way of protecting vulnerable Australian habitat, forever!
Wilderlands has developed one of the world’s first voluntary biodiversity credits: The Biological Diversity Unit (BDU). Since launching in early August 2022, Wilderlands have protected over 480,000 m2 square metres of vulnerable ecosystems and this number is growing fast! They are now on a mission to reach 1 million square metres over the next nine months and at Touched by Nature we are super excited to contribute! 💚
What is a Biological Diversity Unit?
A Biological Diversity Unit (BDU) represents the protection of one square metre of high strategic conservation value land. Each BDU comprises a unique and verified unit in respect of a defined area (georeferenced), that will be permanently protected and managed by expert ecologists with an objective to maintain and enhance the integrity of its biological diversity.
How can I contribute?
Any paid product you purchase on my website will include m2 for Wilderlands. Every coaching session equals 1m2 protected forever. My courses give you an opportunity to earn points. The more actively you participate in a course, the more points you will gather! The total number of points you score in your course determines the amount of square metres we buy. In this interactive setup, you are connecting to nature for your personal well-being, while also instantly contributing to the conservation of nature and the well-being of our planet! A win-win situation!
And so, by choosing Touched by Nature, you will contribute to protecting Australia’s amazing biodiversity. Forever!
Touched by Nature’s Contributions:
So far we have secured 45m2 to be protected forever! We can’t wait to see this number grow with your help! Visit our partner page at Wilderlands to see our progress!
Supported Projects
Wilderlands currently supports four projects across Australia: Coorong Lakes, Crowes Lookout, Alleena, and Budgerum. Touched by Nature contributes to each of these projects!

Alleena
Alleena is a project delivered on the lands of the
Wiradjuri people, New South Wales Riverina.
Situated in the heart of New South Wales’ Riverina, adjacent to national parkland and revegetated forests, Alleena offers landscapescale connectivity for species movement and dispersal, as well as habitat for a variety of threatened woodland bird species.
Budgerum
A project delivered on the lands of the Barapa Barapa people, in Central Victoria.
Budgerum is located in the heart of the Victorian Riverina, 250 kilometres north of Melbourne. This rich grassland spreads across the vast plains alongside the Avoca River and helps protect the Critically Endangered ‘Natural Grasslands of the Murray Valley Plains’.

Coorong Lakes
A project delivered in partnership with the Ngarrindjeri people, the Traditional Custodians of the Coorong.
The Coorong Lakes region, located south of Meningie in South Australia. The reserve is owned and managed by Cassinia Environmental as a conservation reserve in partnership with local Ngarrindjeri people.
Crowes Lookout
A project delivered on the lands of the Eastern Maar people, in the Otway Ranges, Western Victoria.
Crowes Lookout is located 170 kilometres south-west of Melbourne near the scenic town of Lavers Hill in the Otway Ranges. The scenic forest is home to a diverse array of biodiversity, including Southern Blue-gum, Messmate Stringybark and the tallest flowering tree species in the world, the Mountain Ash.
